So I've been away from FFXI for a good 6? 7? 8 months now? I lost count.

I've been struggling with work with projects and a lateral promotion and basically having stress level go on a roller coaster depending on severity of stupid people or situation that happens and the amount of time it takes to resolve the issue(s) altogether.

In effect, dealing with that basically cut my time from in-game. Which is a good thing. Had I stayed in game, I don't think I could keep my sanity level low. I strongly believe my native cheerfulness would disappear and angst take over. Not quite a pretty sight nor feeling to ponder about.

How has everyone else been? Doesn't matter if ingame or in real life... What's been happening in your side of the world?

On a side note, came across Kamalii's LJ with a short questionnaire. Figured I post it up as the last question asks for it.

01) Are you currently in a serious relationship?
02) What was your dream growing up?
03) What talent do you wish you had?
04) If I bought you a drink what would it be?
05) Favorite vegetable?
06) What was the last book you read?
07) What zodiac sign are you?
08) Any Tattoos and/or Piercings? Explain where.
09) Worst Habit?
10) If you saw me walking down the street would you offer me a ride?
11) What is your favorite sport?
12) Do you have a Pessimistic or Optimistic attitude?
13) What would you do if you were stuck in an elevator with me?
14) Worst thing to ever happen to you?
15) Tell me one weird fact about you.
16) Do you have any pets?
17) What if I showed up at your house unexpectedly?
18) What was your first impression of me?
19) Do you think clowns are cute or scary?
20) If you could change one thing about how you look, what would it be?
21) Would you be my crime partner or my conscience?
22) What color eyes do you have?
23) Ever been arrested?
24) Bottle or can soda?
25) If you won $10,000 today, what would you do with it?
26) Favorite band to listen to when you're mad?
27) What's your favorite place to hang out at?
28) Do you believe in ghosts?
29) Favorite thing to do in your spare time?
30) Do you swear a lot?
31) Biggest pet peeve?
32) In one word, how would you describe yourself?
33) Do you believe/appreciate romance?
34) Favourite and least favourite food?
35) Do you believe in God?
36) Will you repost this so I can fill it out and do the same for you?

Pmissy's November 2007 patch for the update-deprived people

I took the liberty to rip out the updated rom's and sound files.

Total rar'd is 109mb. PC users only, of course

Simply download this, extract, and overlay/overwrite your existing folders.

Then turn on POL, it'll download about 15 files and you'll be up and running ingame in about 10 minutes.

If you have a 150kb/s connection, you should get this file in about 30minutes. Extract, overlay, update should take about 10-15minutes.

Updated 10-25-2008 {Links outdated and probably deleted}

15mb segments, should take about 5 minutes to download each part.

SE did a great job with the launch of ToAU. There was no server clutter up to NINE HOURS of download... but this! THIS IS HORRENDOUS! But here's a solution for you.

Also, if you have share space, please post and distribute. Credit me for the creation of the patch update if your conscience deems it. :p enjoy.

Be nice on my server. I don't want my ISP hounding me on hordes of leechers hammering it and taking down other small business websites in the process. Thanks.

- Pmissy

How does one lose oneself in the mist of doing many things at once? Not that hard, really.

As I find myself approaching life on a day by day basis, I find myself becoming more stupider and senile and actually recognizing mistakes quite some time later. No one to tell except to just mentally slap myself and scole 'Shame on you, Psy. You should know better.' (._.)

Anyhoo. Went on quite an on/off hiatus from FFXI.

I've been stuck on Bastok Rank 6 for god knows how long. Quite some many months ago, M6.1 was done with Trymidas, Lippo, and Orts. Then a many weeks afterwards to do M6.2 in Ifrits Cauldron. I forget the members.

But unfortunately, Orts left the game. Leaving me with no one I know to make myself get off my taru butt to actually continue doing the missions.

It's been only a few months since quite a few people in SoulPirates did M7.1 for me in Ro'Maeve. Off the top of my head, I only remember Lilgandalf and Mack needing M7.1 done. Daizenger was rank 10 already, and Feiht was there. Flash was XP'ing on his RNG at that time, so I took BB as WHM60 along with me to dualbox with. Hama logged in momentarily afterwards. Stupid Ro'Maeve and two golems. Ugh. Aggro-hell that place was. Total members was around 8-9 and I cannot remember anyone else's names off for that night. (._.)

The one amazing thing I must note and announce credit for was what happened yesterday. :) I couldn't've done it alone without them, and I would really like to thank them from outside the game. What better way than to list other people's names on a list of accomplishments in a blog? ^_^\

Sometime a weeks ago, Feiht invited me to an ISNM. Lilgandalf was amongst one of the six members. And I have very little memory of who else went to that BC except that it had to deal with a Puk that split into many Puk's and that there were quite a number of deaths and kiting. X_x

Anyhoo, Lilgandalf poked me about completing Bastok missions sometime earlier this week. So we set upon Thursday 4PM EST to meet up and complete. Our prepwork was done. All it was was to get together and do the missions.

Came 4 o'clock, of course things go wrong. Only Gandalf and I showed up. :p Flash patiently sittting in the corner in case we failed. So I decided why risk it. I called in a for reinforcements from friends. ^_^

---------------

M7.2 - On My Way, Palsborough Mines BC, 4 NM Quadavs

I requested for assistance from Coshise and Stratocaster. Cosh came as NIN/war and Strato came as RDM/blm. We did this BC as a 4 person BC (NIN/war , RDM/blm , BLM/whm , BLM/ whm). Sleepga and nitpick a turtle one at a time. Easy fight.

Mission completed. Rank 8. 60,000gil. :D

\^_^/ (** Thank you Coshise and Stratocaster **) \^_^/

---------------

M8.1 - The Chains That Bind Us, Western Altepa Desert, 3 NM Anticans

After Cosh and Strato part ways, Gandalf, Flashbot and I continued on prepwork. Initially, we traveled as three to the pop area thinking I could tank it as RDM/nin. It proved far too difficult to do it as three because by the time we finish killing the 3 Anticans guarding the room (BLM, WAR, RNG), popping the three NM's [BLM, PLD, WAR] would be risky would result a link to the 3 repops.

I was able to summon Lippo and Shroudy to help with this one. Lippo came as BRD/whm and Shroudy went as WHM/nin. We did this as a 5 person PT (WHM/nin , RDM/nin , BRD/whm , BLM/whm , WHM/blm).

We got silenced quite a many times, but nothing we could not handle. Lippo and Gandalf did massive lullaby's and sleepga's. Shroudy was curing us while I was concentrating on keeping blink and stoneskins up. Being silenced didn't help either. :x

Fight was done. We parted ways with Lippo and Shroudy. I had to go AFK for a bit to watch nephews after we escaped from Quicksand Caves.

Once I came back, Gandalf, Flashbot and I traveled to finish up the cutscene needed for this mission.

\^_^/ (** Thank you Shroudy and Lippo **) \^_^/

---------------

M8.2 - Enter the Talekeeper, Kuftal Tunnel, 3 NM Ghosts

Once prepwork was done, Off to Kuftal we went. I changed Flashbot's sub to /smn to use Carby to pull. Now here I thought this fight would be easy! Good grief.

The idea was to have Gandalf pop, I pull with Flash's Carby and run like fuck back to the tunnel upramp to the entrance.

And so I melee'd with Flash while I thought the occasional Spirit Taker would help me to not cast refresh. Little did I forget Ghosts casts Ice Spikes. I couldn't hear or notice due to my filters. Soon I would find out that Flash and I were para'd. I couldn't blink/stoneskin/phalanx up. Flash's cures would get him mad hate. So I died. Then Flash died. Then Gandalf died. Then the XP PT behind us died. :(

Among the additional casualties were Varg, Yahomiho, Rei, and two others. Good thing I had RR3 on with Flash. Came in and raised the group, said my apologies, and recooperate for another round.

We had two kind travelers who passed by and offered assistance: Kuwaitall and Abod.

Fight went MUCH more smoother, although I think we scared the crap out of the XP PT again since the NM was divereted right on top of them again. NM died, the rest depopped. We gave thanks and parted Abod and Kuwaitall.

And guess what I forgot to do? :(

I forgot to examine the ??? above before examining the ??? below. We reformed again and buffed up. Only to find that I get the cutscene and no NM's repopped. Isn't that something. :p We laughed and parted ways again. The XP PT was sitting outside (waiting for curse to wear I suppose).

Gandalf, Flash, and I took leave back to Bastok. And dinner was ready.

Rank 9. 80,000gil.

\^_^/ (** Thank you Abod and Kuwaitall **) \^_^/

---------------

M9.1 - The Salt of the Earth, Gustav Tunnel, 1 NM slime (that splits into 15)

I thought we would end then and there after dinner. But I had this urge to finish this crap then and there. Get the most done out of the night, out of the missions. Gandalf couldn't find anyone in SoulPirates to come assist, so I called upon LSmates in Sars to help with this stupid NM.

Amongst the people I gathered were Elfvin (NIN/war), Rikura (NIN/war), Arayna (BLM/whm), Rioka (BRD/whm). The seven of us trot down to Gustav to eat this NM alive.

Although Bune wasn't there and Ungar wasn't there either.

As we parked at the H-7 tunnel,, we buffed up and explained the battle plan. Rioka, Arayna, and Gandalf were to keep the slimes slept. Rikura would be target leader. Elfvin would be main tank.

I sneak'd up and went to pop the NM. I threw a Sleep II on it instinctively with my macro (which I should't've because it slept for a good 70 seconds by the time I reached back camp ^^;).

The fight was organized and chosen. The AoE splatter took us down sometimes to 50% but nowhere near red level. Barwatera and curaga's were nice and neat.

Mission complete. By that time it was near limbus time so we had about 25 minutes to meet up in Jeuno and get ready.

\^_^/ (** Thank you Rikura, Rioka, Arayna, and Elfvin **) \^_^/

---------------

And that's it. Four mission runs in a day. Thank GOD Bastok missions do not have that annoying JST 0000 (wait til next earth day) like Sandoria.

Limbus didn't go well for me. My laptop was on all day and once it gets warm, fan turns on and Intel SpeedStep kicks in bringing the fps down to 3-4fps. Can you imagine playing the game as a slideshow of every other 4th frame and having to have your macros take effect 6 seconds after you cast it? Ugh.

By the time I got back in, I gave up trying to reboot and speed through the menus. The way SE made POL login entry is horrendously slow. Once I got in, everyone was near the last level. Would've been wrong of me to get a share of coins that evening so I forfeit coin collection that night. (._.)

I need a new laptop.

---------------

In other news, I was able to park all of Psy's subs to 24 grinding solo and PL'd with Flash in Tahrongi, Bubumiru, Shakrami, and Korrokola.

Psy Jobs (as of Jul 24, 2006): BLM75 / RDM75 / WHM68 / SMN47 / NIN37 / RNG37 / MNK36 / THF33 / DRK31 / BST23 / WAR22 / BRD21 / PLD21 / SAM19 / DRG19 / COR18 / PUP17 / BLU15

Psy Jobs (as of Sep 15, 2006): BLM75 / RDM75 / WHM70 / SMN49 / NIN37 / RNG37 / MNK36 / THF33 / DRK31 / BST24 / WAR24 / BRD24 / PLD24 / SAM24 / DRG24 / COR24 / PUP24 / BLU24

Purpose was to park myself later in Khazam for easy in/out PT invites without newbies hurting my head spending 45 minutes deciding where to go.

I unlocked Burst II on Psy. I knew I shouldn't've spent the other merits so soon. I have 4900xp buffer on BLM and 9800/10000 into Merit 1. That means another 20,000xp to unlock Tornado II and Freeze II.

WHM leveled to 70 finally. I can assist with Raise III's after dynamis and somesuch occasional deaths that requires R3 over R2's. I'll need another 190,000xp on WHM to reach and cap to 75. Ain't gonna happen. At least not this year I don't think. I dreaded xp'ing WHM since 63 I think or where I last left it before Flash took over WHM xp duties. :p

Now that Psy's subs are done for the most part, I'm concentrating on Flash's subs.

Flash Jobs (as of Jul 24, 2006): WHM75 / NIN75 / RNG68 / BLM47 / WAR39 / SMN39 / THF35 / BRD24 / BLU23 / BST15 / DRG12 / RDM10 / DRK09 / MNK08 / PLD07 / SAM07 / COR06 / PUP01

Flash Jobs (as of Sep 15, 2006): WHM75 / NIN75 / RNG68 / BLM48 / SMN40 / WAR39 / THF35 / BRD24 / BLU23 / BST15 / DRG12 / RDM12 / MNK12 / PLD12 / DRK11 / SAM10 / COR10 / PUP10

I also got hold of a Katayama from Carnero in S.Gusta while XP'ing there lowbie levels. This should make leveling SAM a whee bit more easier on Flash. The Katayama also replaces the Uchigatana+1 on Psy. Just that I haven't gotten around to checking if there's any Gunromaru's or Okanehira's in AH because that's better in terms of damage. :p

The idea on Flash is to get lvl 12 across all jobs and solo while LFP'ing near Valkurm. Whether that's a good idea or not remains to be seen because I kind of burned myself out solo'ing Psy on all jobs through 24. Do I want to put myself through that again or is there a 'better/faster' method is the question.

Once I get both Psy and Flash subs to 37, I'll be concentrating most of my time on MNK and SMN. Although unsure about SMN since I dispise playing main healer duties... gimp WHM for that matter. (/_\) Who knows. Let's see what the future brings.

I suppose that's a wrap for this update. Until next time. ^-^/

JULY UPDATE!

Hi everyone!

Life is merrily going along just fine. Maintenance today. Work is trivial. Drama whores finding other stuff to do at the moment. AND LIFE GOES ON!

So what's up? Things have been going slow on my front. But I've managed to break away from my 12am *poof* curfew (somewhat). I pieced together a Dell Latitude C600 (P-III 1.13, 512mb, 40gb hdd, 16mb nVidia Geforce2go) to play.

It's not ideal for gaming or high res playing, but playing 640 x 480 with 512 x 512 background is better than nothing at all. ^^;

Have to make sure that any and ALL cpu/memory hogging apps are CLOSED before starting POL. If not... oh hohoho... You can bet on it that it would takes 10 minutes to get to the titlescreen or get from the character selection screen to close out of POL to the desktop. Very painfully annoying indeed.

Therefore, strictly an FFXI laptop from startup. Forget about anything else running in the background. It's not allowed on Dell C600 latitudes! nononono. :x

And so, 12am curfew has been broken, however, PT invites have been slow after midnight. So much to the effect that I drop dead asleep while LFP'ing.

Other than the physical front, what's been happening ingame?

For a moment in time, I've been leveling MNK. Last left it at 19. But sometime last month, I managed to claim Molbinger and killed it for Morlbinger Vine. Then spent the next two nights after to kill Deadly Dodo's. It dropped after the third or fourth kill. Don't know how many more times Lippo has been camping for me.

So after this whole ordeal, I got Brown Belt. So I xp'd Mnk like mad until 36. Then stopped. Part of the reason was that my WAR was 21 and THF was 25. So I thought about taking all subs to 37 and then continue on the leveling spree.

Project: MNK75 was placed on the backburner and turned into Project: Subs 37. I XP'd more subs including COR, PUP, and BLU. Then got burnt out and bored PL'ing myself.

Eventually I got sidetracked some more and had dreamy thoughts of taking Flash's subs to 37 after I'm done mine. *Eep*

Jobs (as of Mar 14, 2006): BLM75 / RDM75 / WHM67 / SMN37 / NIN37 / RNG36 / DRK28 / THF25 / BST23 / BRD20 / MNK19 / PLD18 / SAM17 / DRG17 / WAR16

Jobs (as of Jul 24, 2006): BLM75 / RDM75 / WHM68 / SMN47 / NIN37 / RNG37 / MNK36 / THF33 / DRK31 / BST23 / WAR22 / BRD21 / PLD21 / SAM19 / DRG19 / COR18 / PUP17 / BLU15

From the looks of the list above, I have 169 levels left to go to cap all of Psy's subs up to par.

Let's take a look at Flash's:

Jobs (as of Jul 24, 2006): WHM75 / NIN75 / RNG68 / BLM47 / WAR39 / SMN39 / THF35 / BRD24 / BLU23 / BST15 / DRG12 / RDM10 / DRK09 / MNK08 / PLD07 / SAM07 / COR06 / PUP01

Now from this list, Flash would have 287 levels left to go to cap all subs. ;_;

If I can average 3 levels for the 3 hours that I am able to play nightly, it'll take me roughly 60 days (2 months) to cap Psy's subs and 100 days (3.5 months) to cap Flash's subs.

Now that Bash and Lippo play often, I cannot use them to PL myself. I could use BB. However, Hama logs on BB frequently. So I'm unsure how to do this in an ideal timeframe.

*shrug*

In any case, I managed to get windy m8.1 > m9.1 done for Bash, Juibb, Taroo, Seltzer, and Lordmacbeth. Vex is still stuck on m8.2 because he didn't finish prepwork the night we were to do m8.2.

And I've recently joined Rioka's COP-Limbus set. Doing runs Mondays 9pm EST and Thursdays 12am EST.

Also on the list is Manabomb (hope it's not disbanded after this latest patch hiatus). Cala and Lellya recruited more blm's and I was invited.

Optical hat has been done and obtained on both Flash + Psy. Don't remember when, but it was sometime between Mar 14 and May.

I think that concludes this update. If I think up anything else, I'll add it. Accomplishments are slow, yet steady for the little playtime I have nowadays. And caring for two char's is kind of challenging at that too. It's like.. split 1.5hr progress between the two. :p Something gets done in one way, shape, or form, at least.

Til next time. ^^/

EDIT: Oh... almost forgot... new spells obtainable through merit points. Guess what? I haven't been in a merit party since... since... since... since my RDM hit 75... and that's like... Oct '05. WAY TO GO, SQUARE! MORE FUCKING TIMESINKS FOR PEOPLE WHO HAVE LITTLE TIME TO PLAY AND ENJOY THIS GAME! PISS OFF, JERKFACES!! \^_^/

Where does pride and ego take you in FFXI?

One thing that boggles and baffles me is how people in LS's can badmouth tactics, strategies, gameplay, and playstyle of other members (be they within the same LS or in other LS's) before the accuser takes his/her first stab at that particular event. Be it BC, HNM, or trigger pop NM.

"Oh we're better than them." "They suck." "What the hell are they doing?" "OMG! HAHA! THEY WIPE."

Then when it's our alliances' turn, we wipe. The same people with loud mouths don't admit any wrong doing. They would place the blame of the mass death on another persons' shoulder or that the NM did a sudden uncatchable, unnoticable AoE that throws the balance of the alliance off key.

There's a difference between raising moral during an official competition and a difference between being plain rude.

So the other LS said they had only one left to do but turns out they did yet another to keep us waiting. So what? They were here first. They planned their events earlier than us. They showed up earlier and were prepared. They commenced operations.

So they said they had one more left to do. Okay fine. Then they did yet another. We go 'WTF?' Although they may have been pulling our chain but someone there might have showed up late in the middle of their last fight.

Had someone within our alliance showed up late but with a trigger than have had to make everyone else wait, we would do it for that person. There was time.

What makes us any different from them?

But no. Not everyone looks at it from the other perspective. Instead of figuring out a way to help them with cures and raises, people whine, backstab, trashtalk, idle, and laugh at the misery of the other LS's mishaps.

If most die and half the alliance is still alive, they would struggle to stay alive with raises and cures to the people still alive and try to buy time for everyone else. Think about it. The longer they struggle to stay alive, the longer it will take for them to kill it or all die and we'll have to wait until the NM depops or else drama erupts when we'll claim it just because the other LS wiped.

While the whiners and trash-talkers stands there doing nothing to help the situation, I took myself and Flash to help with cures and raises. The faster the dead of their LS is raised, the faster they'll be back in action, the faster they'll kill the NM just so it'll be our turn.

Does this make me a traitor? The way I look at it, if I am deemed a traitor in my former LS-mate's eyes, I know I have made new friends elsewhere. I am happy with myself because I did not allow pride, ego, and peer-pressure stop me from doing the right thing.

To those who this applies to that are reading this, take your whining/trash-talking/backstabbing pride and ego and shove it up your ass. Stepping over people for the benefit of personal gain is not what I call a friend or proper conduct from being LS-mate (former or whatnot).

On a side note, remember my summoner project? It would've benefit everyone here had everyone listened to me. Avatars can tank, nuke, and deal damage. Had we have 18+ smn's at this event, sic the avatar at Kurrea, blood pact some damage, and scatter, rinse and repeat, we wouldn't have had the amount of casualties we've had. Avatar's die. So what? Avatars have no xp loss nor do they need raises. Simply recast and voila. But nope. This never happened.

From the looks of things, I doubt it'll ever happen on Ragnarok too. Unless someone beat me to it and formed a SMN LS I don't know about.

All in all, I had fun with Kurrea yesterday. I got to say 'hi' to people I haven't seen in a while and I got to try to be as helpful as I could be before I had to poof at 12am. Whether that matters to anyone, I can say I tried my best.

Can the others who made me shake my head in disgust say the same? It is not up to me to change them. It's who they are. I'll just continue praying that they'll have a happy future 'without' having drama come back to bite them in the ass. I dunno. Their pride and ego says it for themselves.

Job
created with QuizFarm.com

-------------------------

As of Mar 14, 2006, Pmissy's progress list includes:

Jobs: BLM75 / RDM75 / WHM67 / SMN37 / NIN37 / RNG36 / DRK28 / THF25 / BST23 / BRD20 / MNK19 / PLD18 / SAM17 / DRG17 / WAR16

According to the quiz, I should equally be DRK and BLM, yet my DRK is 28. Blowing stuff up gets pretty redundant. However, the pure satisfaction of seeing chunks of HP off an enemy's HP bar and getting away with hate remains priceless.

The thing is, every time I play BLM/(rdm|whm), RDM, or WHM, I would have access to cure spells. Although I feel naked without mp, I feel even more useless without the ability to cure.

4 lines of my macros are filled with Cure I, Cure II, Cure III, Regen I {p1-0}. Each time I play my jobs from 16-37 while in a PT with people rather than solo, I would be spamming those macros and nothing would happen.

So tell me this... How many people would invite a Taru DRK/(rdm/whm)? Ugh... and another thing.. I despise 2-handed weapons with a passion. Nothing irks me more than long weapon delays plus consecutive misses. Time loss, TP build loss, overall damage over time loss = pathetic.

I'm still stupified how I endured through Psy's and Flash's staff skill for some odd weeks.

Anyway... SMN Project is canceled. With only 3 hours playtime per day now, I'm extremely limited to XP'ing without a set. I tried LFP'ing with Flash's BLM40 last week... 1.5hr's no invite, then 1.5hr left, I took Flash to sky to xp off elementals. 1500xp/hr. Got Flash BLM41 and then some. Following day, got an invite, Flash BLM42.

Economy is pure shit. The 218mil relic dagger dream a few months ago rose to 1074mil (counting 1 relic bill @ 60,000gil only; not including cost of other materials).

Let's check my total gil: 8mil. *pfft* Screw that then.

Finally was able to unlock Retribution for Pmissy and Flash. So Psy now has Savage Blade, Retribution, Black Halo, and Evisceration done. Flash has Black Halo and Retribution done.

Also finish is the god-forsaken Opo-Opo crown quest on Psy. Flash is still missing a few parts.

Psy got Rostrum Pumps with Diula sometime after CoP expansion. Was able to get Flash's pumps some months ago with Bennettz LS when Diula event was canceled.

Yet to obtain for Psy and Flash includes: Optical Hat, Bomb Queen Ring, Avengers(?), Rutter Sabatons, Shen's WHM SH, and whatever that can be trigger popped and which the trigger can be easily obtained. Then again, Flash and Taroo still needs 5AA done. Then we'll all need final ZM mission done. Then those two need CoP done.

Psy's NPC is now 50 w/ NPC G1 done. Flash's NPC is 33. Bash's NPC should be 31. Juibb tossed his. Neither of them would level them up anyway. Don't know why I bother to help them get it, but it's nice to have sometimes.

Using whatever time I have left to play this stupid game, I use it to plan short runs of getting people rank 10. Eilistraee and I are stuck on rank 7.2. Sought help every now and then, everyone else in LS seems to busy doing their own thing. So be it.

I guess I'll have to dig out my SaladTossers pearl again and get massive amounts of people rank 10 given that they will have something to gain to come help.

So much to do, so little time. And it's sad to see everyone else strictly camps HNM's and do other massive timesink events than to do simple stuff now.

The concept of 'not everyone can play all day like some people' is lost.

The concept of equal opportunity is lost.

The concept of unified teamwork is forgotten.

The concept of 'Pay it forward' is forgotten.

I miss SARS.

I miss the days we would do 7sin together.

I miss the days when the founding members got together and did coffer key hunts for AF's.

I miss the days where we did weeks of genkai 1 runs.

Times change. People change. Experiences changes everything. Then along comes drama.

Where's a working link to "Meeting Again"?

No matter how much shit I have to put up with, no matter how much things I help prepare, no matter how hard I try, everything falls on deaf ears. All planning is done in vain. Then, life goes on.

This game has its moments. Up to the point that I practically don't give a flying fucking fox anymore.

Where do you draw your lines? I think I should end mines sometime soon. Maybe here.

Do mind me. I'm a little emo right now. I wanna cry.

Yet again, this game has its moments.
Torrent Addendum:

I apologize for the inconvience for people who went the torrent way.

I have five systems that I updated. Two at my apartment, two at parents home, one at work.

The patch works after downloading 34 (odd) stray files as per mentioned. The 34 files downloaded were miniscule compared to the 1292 everyone would have had to wait for. But don't let me try to convince you otherwise of how long it takes to download 233mb across the POL servers.

Anyway... instructions on a theoretical fix:

---------------------------------------------

Please create a backup of your 'FinalFantasyXI' folder before overlaying.

There has been an issue where people have to validate their 12000+ file base all over and I may have figured a solution.

http://www.livejournal.com/users/pmissy/29475.html?view=29219#t29219

---------------------------------------------

If you remain skeptical about the torrent way, no worries. The April/May patch was more update friendly than this one. -_-;

I'll just have to remember to create a torrent with only the ROM, ROM2, ROM3, sound directories for the September/October patches.

Need help troubleshooting, post below. Thanks.

Your power is: Clairvoyance

Explanation: Your power is that you can
look into the future and see what is coming.
How far and long you can look is all depending
on your skill level. This can, as all powers,
be used in both evil and good. Even if it may
seem like a boring ability it is a huge
responsibility for the carrier, becase they are
constantly tempted with doing the wrongs deeds
(e.g. cheat on a test). It takes high morals to
not be brought down with it.

Therefor you fit with this power quite well.
You take responsibility and do what is the
right thing to do. This does not make you a
saint, since you're only human after all. But
it makes a trustworthy person and you are loyal
to camrades and/or team mates. In school you
were probably a good student. If you were
social varies from person to person, but most
clairvoyant people tend to prefer their own
company or that of close friends and family.
That is because you are wise and knows how to
treasure the reliable in your life, since you
know popularity can be a false element. You are
also not that big on taking risks and prefer
what is already explored. That is because you
don't like suprises, they can turn out bad and
then you won't be in control.
Negative aspects: Since you're always
doing the right thing and being trustworthy all
the time you can become frustrated. Also, all
that you carry on your shoulders may stress you
out. You need to relax to be in good mental
shape.

What Power is Compatible With You?
brought to you by Quizilla
Have a nice summer all. ^^/

So what's happening?

I've been MIA for about 2 (maybe 3) weeks now. I needed to get life straightened together.

The process will take the duration of summer, so I won't be back for quite a while.

My sister-in-law gave birth to a baby boy, Wes, on May 30. My sister gave birth to a baby boy, Nathan, on June 2.

So two new members to the family are quite a delicate handful right now. ^_^

Other than that, I need to work on getting myself certified and moving on with life toward a new job. This current one I am in is extremely unstable and the company might flop over soon. Before I get caught with the sinking ship, I need to be prepared with a floatation device or perhaps even bail beforehand.

That's how I currently am in a nutshell.

In-game, what I do remember about it before I left was that I have obtained the following:

- Full sets of WHM, BLM, RDM af's (threw them into NPC)
- Relic dagger, Relic sword (threw them into storage until some miracle I can earn 218mil gil to upgrade them each)
- Alchemy 65, Smithing 11, Goldsmithing 3, Woodworking 2, blahblah.. I forget... :p
- RDM AF2 gloves
- Pentinents Rope
- Sword 232 -> 239
- Archery 0 -> 133(?)

ahhh.. I forget.. but yea... many new things obtained and earned. ^_^

Pentinents Rope I obtained doing the 'Wild, Wild, Whiskers' BC with two bodyguard taru's. One being Flash (Nin), the other unnamed (WHM), and I went as RDM. Failed once (first orb), did it about 5 more times, got each of us a rope. Then we ran out of orbs. ^_^

RDM AF2, we went on a fullmoon day... Right before dynamis was about to end, three RDM AF gloves dropped. One for Diabolik, one for me, and last for Juibb.

Sat and craft my taru butt off starting with 800k, ending up with 255k to get alchemy to 65... What did I gain from it? nothing. ^_^ selling on AH was such a hassle because everyone else and their mother were doing alchemy and selling sneak/invis potions/powders, poison potions, etc. One good thing though is that I can make holy water. The bad thing about it is that I cannot HQ2 it with 70% accuracy yet. Holy water gaurantees quick turnaround selling back to npc. Jeuno sells light clusters for 2k each. Each stack of holy water sells to npc for 43xxgil... so there's at least a 1.5k return per cluster. Bad thing is, have to sit and craft it all off. Is it worth the time for NQ? I would say not. That time can be used to craft other things and do other stuff. HQ2/3'ing them is a different story. :p

Went to play Ballista with Red Lotus vs. DiuLa one day. It was fun. :D Get to ran around sleepga'ing and nuking people. XD Cheap BB has BRD AF gloves and can sleep from 3 screens away! I swear! It was extremely cheap! (>.<)

I couldn't silence BB, could only stun. Sleepga I + II build resistance but BRD's lullaby seem to be not effected. (._.)

Hama had k-club that day. Boy was I wrong to nuke hama when she fought Louf. (._.)

All in all fun though. ^_^

Other than that, I cannot remember what else I didn't cover.

I got Flash and I trial club... I didn't get black halo for either of us. Club stuck in storage.

Was close to getting sword 240 one night while EXP'ing in sky on weapons. What was stupid was that I was stuck at 239 for two hours. I didn't have a Joyeuse. And in the meantime, I would be hasting and refreshing the respective members of the party (pretty much NIN and myself only) PT layout was NIN RNG RNG RNG WHM RDM. XD

Well. That's it for updates. The main purpose of this post was this:

http://www.livejournal.com/users/teffie/24336.html

Who needs to form a 64 Taru dynamis when a model viewer can do just that? :p

Taru dynamis on Ragnarok will be hard to form. Unless the leader is a no-worry, free-reign, downright emotionless leader. Something I don't think I can do.

People are free to try. I gaurantee the coordinator that when he/she pieces together 64+ names, drama between ls's would erupt and conflicts would take precidence over some common goal such as Taru dynamis. ^_^

Does that mean I'm going to give up? More or likely ya... If I let people down by giving hopes up, I'm sorry. ={

Blame the people who cannot set aside differences for a moment in time or perhaps people who would not let go simple things such as AF's without chaos. *shrug*

Different people play the game for different reasons... Can't expect them all to have fun and be equal to over some materialistic gains. ^_^

That's all for this update. Until next time.

Kupo ^^/
Many readers will notice I'm posting the same thing across public and LS message boards.

But if you still cannot connect to a decent server that downloads the patch in 40 minutes, let me know.

If you are connected to a server that will take 3-8 hours to grab the patch, I might have a solution for you.

If someone has FTP or a public host, I can upload all the .DAT files that's for the patch.

Aftewards, simply overwrite the existing .DAT's in the FFXI directory's and run POL to validate the checksum of the files and that's that.

I have 1172 files, complete folder structuring, 209MB worth of DAT's. It'll be a simple 'move' or 'copy and paste' once the download is finished.

If someone can host the torrent and give me a tracker announcer, I can make a torrent, have someone play announcer and we can do a bittorrent distribution.

Files will remain uncompressed/unzipped, so that way, everyone can validate it's purely DAT files and nothing like .VBS or .EXE they'll be getting (for all the microsoft virus/script/bot paranoid people).

Other than that, I got my 3 systems up and running. 2 at my apartment and 1 at my friends house.

I am really seeking the torrent announcer solution because that way, I can keep seeding for other people to get it.

I also have a zipped version of 87mb if anyone wants that instead.

I would like to apologize to my dearest LJ readers for not answering posts. (._.)

There were a number of reasons preventing me from posting what I wanted to say, but could not.

Be they:

- time constraints from work-related projects.
- moving to new apartment
- getting home late
- non-stop resting exp parties

These are to name a few.

However, I am wrong altogether for leaving the people who posted responses hanging.

Therefore, I am hoping to make it up to those people below.

In no particular order. I just type up responses and do cut and paste after I was done below. ^^;

--------------
To Lilyanne:

Had I responded a month ago, I would've very much disagreed with you that I am taking a lot onto my shoulders. But I stopped and listened. I took a breatheras you suggested. And I want to thank you for slapping the idea into me. \^-^/

I was able to do some things for myself and check-off a lot of 'to-do's' off my personal agenda. It was very quite relaxing and plentiful of self-accomplished feelings.

One funny moment would be during a solo escort run, I found myself stuck at the scorpion area. I paused and asked myself 'What would Lily do?' But of course, you would've went as BST. :P

I, however, went as BLM/rdm. 'Lily would take scorpion one, attack scorpion two and link three, talk to npc, get her out, stop her, release scorpion, continue on.'

Well, I slept them all, made her run through, stopped her, slept the mobs when they woke up and proceeded through the tunnel. Rinse and repeat. :D

All went well until the bee's and exoray tunnels when part of the horde woke prematurely and sleepga recasts were too long to hope for. ^_^; I died. NPC died after. (._.)

I had an adrenaline rush that night and it was very fun. :D Thank you, Lily. (^-^) I just wanted to share that.

--------------
To Viras:

I've been reading your LJ and found myself relating very much to the loss of bonds and friendships to quite a lot of people ingame.

What I have come to understand is that 'nice' people like us can try very hard to change people and/or wish people to change into what we want them to be or how they act or how they should do things, but in the end, nothing does change.

The only thing we can do is change ourselves. Only then will be around take notice.

Be it for better or for worse, it's a step to progress.

Quitting the game doesn't solve much. I do not know how it is for you, but for me, I am not ready to leave this game. There is so much left unexplored that I want to explore.

In order to do that, I will need help. Quite hastily was I to assume other people have the same ambitions as I, however, I found out the hard way this could not happen.

So I took a break from pursuing those goals. Take a breather and slowly look around for 'new' adventurous prospects.

These people are not the typical linkshell-mates or friends. These are completely 'NEW' people met through parties and such.

New people brings new names remember, creating new faces, bringing forth new ideas. These is what makes FFXI special. The interaction and communication with others.

If I quit, it would simply be me running from something I enjoy because of a little problem I was too {fill in a word} to confront and deal with.

If it's not too late, take a breather and 'stop' helping people. Take part in linkshell events, however, keep some time for yourself to do your own things. Hopefully it'll help open some opportunities and new enlightening for you.

--------------
To Chibihibi:

Remember when we went for BLM AF hunt in Toraimai? :D That was fun.

I had memories afterwards of Conch runs for BLM AF. Back then I was 40-something and wearing Kyreth's Combat Casters +1 set. \^-^/

Adventures were abundantly genuine back then. New things galore, new things to explore.

It was like reminisencing walking on an old schools' ground. Nostalgic. (._.)

Wish there were more of those now-a-days. Sad the wheel of time cannot be turned backwards.

--------------
To Suyo:

My frustration was not torwards you, Suyo. My frustration comes from the people who DID agree to switch but had done nothing to help other people achieve it.

You are right. The night we did M17 run for sandy was a spur of the moment thing I had rallied up a week or two before. Back then, I did not think it would become a full mission LS. However, quite a few people shared their thoughts that night into making it a full mission LS. It was not I who came up with completing Bastok and Windy missions, but it was suggested by the crowd. Originally, I was going to keep it as a Sandy linkshell doing Garrison and EF runs to build up CP and make group related events. None of those fell through. (._.)

If you would like an exact count of SaladTossers, it's 107 people. or 'WAS', rather. ^^;

Of those 107, 19 people told me they were not going to switch. You, yourself, included.

However, you were among quite a number of people who came back to help those who needed M20. SoulPiraters were always open to lend a hand. You know this, I know this. Quite a few members of LiberatiFatali, GwennsLovelyLS, and Fate would pop up every other weekend to bring their members to the runs I organize.

In each of those runs, I would announce to the new members about the opportunity to switch nations and finish those mission runs for those flags. All I would hear from the crowd was 'oooo! Great idea! count me in!' and the likes. Seldom were there rejections/objections. Afterwards, people would get their Rank 10 and disappear.

My frustration comes from those who disappear, Suyo. I apologize if I upset you, but it was not my intention to mislead/misinform.

--------------
To Ayer:

SaladTossers won't be broken. I'll dig it up someday. Just not anytime soon since I'm still busy with things.

64 Taru Dynamis might happen. Just that it won't be me putting it together. Not any time soon, that is. ^_^;

Let's see how summer treats everyone's scheduling.

--------------
To Morningstar:

Stop trying to out-die me in Dynamis!

It's not even fair to begin with since you have exp buffer. (;_;)

--------------
To Wewtwewt:

How did we first meet? Was it in Castle Oztroja? Then in a party?

I forget. I'm absent-minded. (._.)

Perhaps I should park myself in Ro'Maeve one day and have you come find me. =D

--------------
To Anonymous, dwffxi, metadistal, new readers and fellow stalkers:

Welcome to Pmissy's LJ of adventures. \^-^/

*brushes off floormat dust and hangs up 'Open' sign*

Pmissy quits FFXI.

My complaint about people on Ragnarok:

People on ragnarok has recently made a number of people very, very angry, including me. However, as anger serves no function in a successful rebuttal, I will simply state objectively that I got off on a tangent. The first thing I want to bring up is that I need your help if I'm ever to embrace diversity. "But I'm only one person," you might protest. "What difference can I make?" The answer is: a lot more than you think. You see, exclusionism doesn't work. So why does people on ragnarok cling to it? Whatever the answer, I am now in a position to define what I mean when I say that people on ragnarok's prevarications represent a calculated assault on diversity within our community. What I mean is that we can all have daydreams about Happy Fuzzy Purple Bunny Land, where everyone is caring, loving, and nice. Not only will those daydreams not come true, but what I just wrote is not based on merely a single experience or anecdote. Rather, it is based upon the wisdom of accumulated years, spanning two continents, and proven by the fact that the reason it wants to replace our natural soul with an artificial one is that it's thoroughly devious. If you believe you have another explanation for its unruly behavior, then please write and tell me about it. Please don't misunderstand me; I'm not saying that the moon is made of green cheese. In fact, if you've read any of the feckless slop that it has concocted, you'll definitely recall its description of its plan to deplete the ozone layer. If you haven't read any of it, well, all you really need to know is that if you intend to challenge someone's assertions, you need to present a counterargument. People on ragnarok provides none. It probably sounds like I'm being unforgiving, but even when people on ragnarok isn't lying, it's using facts, emphasizing facts, bearing down on facts, sliding off facts, quietly ignoring facts, and, above all, interpreting facts in a way that will enable it to spread insurrectionism all over the globe like pigeon droppings over Trafalgar Square.

Just think: We were put on this planet to be active, to struggle, and to expose injustice and puncture prejudice. We were not put here to use psychological tools to trick us into doing whatever egocentric lunkheads require of us, as people on ragnarok might assert. Although it requires risk, commitment, and follow-through to build a world overflowing with compassion and tolerance, people on ragnarok's most ultra-mean-spirited tactic is to fabricate a phony war between craven fast-buck artists and lawless devotees of conspiracy theories. This way, it can subjugate both groups into helping it slander those who are most systematically undervalued, underpaid, underemployed, underfinanced, underinsured, underrated, and otherwise underserved and undermined as undeserving and underclass. I decidedly don't want that to happen, which is why I'm telling you that people on ragnarok's trucklers are easily manipulated, and everyone with half a brain understands that. You may not understand this now, and I don't fault you for that, but people on ragnarok seizes every opportunity to use both overt and covert deceptions to foment virulent forms of political tyranny. I cannot believe this colossal clownishness. Any sane person knows that the worst kinds of noisome delinquents there are ought to be worshipping at a higher altar than the bottom line of a balance sheet. In view of that, it is not surprising that if I were a complete sap, I'd believe people on ragnarok's line that everyone and everything discriminates against it -- including the writing on the bathroom stalls. Unfortunately for it, I realize that there is a simple answer to the question of what to do about people on ragnarok's pranks. The difficult part is in implementing the answer. The answer is that we must make some changes here. If you're still reading this letter, I wish to compliment you for being sufficiently open-minded to understand that people on ragnarok should clarify its point, so people like you and me can tell what the heck it's talking about. Without clarification, people on ragnarok's threats sound lofty and include some emotionally charged words but don't really seem to make any sense.

If I want to suffer endless humiliation, that should be my prerogative. I don't need people on ragnarok forcing me to. People on ragnarok will censor any incomplicitous epigrams because it possesses a hatred that defies all logic and understanding, that cannot be quantified or reasoned away, and that savagely possesses stuck-up nutters with delusional and uncontrollable rage. You're probably thinking, "That which is built inextricably into the laws of the universe cannot be totally brazen." Well, you're right. But something else you should know is that today, we might have let it implement a militant parody of justice called "people on ragnarok-ism". Tomorrow, we won't. Instead, we will rouse people's indignation at people on ragnarok.

Were he alive today, Hideki Tojo would be people on ragnarok's most trustworthy ally. I can see Tojo joining forces with people on ragnarok to help it acquire public acceptance of its litigious teachings. Did it ever occur to people on ragnarok that maybe any correspondence between what it says and the truth is purely coincidental? Dream on. You may wonder why investigators who have spent many years attempting to penetrate the dark recesses of people on ragnarok's spiteful underworld frequently conclude that people on ragnarok should be responsible for its own actions. It's simply because when I'm through with people on ragnarok, it'll think twice before attempting to put increased disruptive powers in the hands of the worst sorts of homophobic ne'er-do-wells there are.

People on ragnarok fervently believes that no one is smart enough to see through its transparent lies. This shows that it is not merely mistaken about one little fact among millions of facts but that you don't need to be a rocket scientist to detect the subtext of this letter. But just in case it's too subliminal for some, let me thrust it into your face right here: People on ragnarok's jeremiads are rife with contradictions and difficulties; they're entirely prolix, meet no objective criteria, and are unsuited for a supposedly educated population. And as if that weren't enough, people on ragnarok recently claimed that it has its moral compass in tact. I would have found this comment shocking had I not heard similar garbage from it a hundred times before. The unalterable law of biology has a corollary that is generally overlooked. Specifically, people on ragnarok spouts a lot of numbers whenever it wants to make a point. It then subjectively interprets those numbers to support its platitudes while ignoring the fact that its subhuman flimflams can be quite educational. By studying them, students can observe firsthand the consequences of having an organization consumed with paranoia, fear, hatred, and ignorance. On a television program last night, I heard one of this country's top scientists conclude that, "It must be nice to live in people on ragnarok's little world, where the sun shines, the birds chirp merrily, and reality never rears its ugly head." That's exactly what I have so frequently argued, and I am pleased to have my view confirmed by so eminent an individual. In any case, I recently heard people on ragnarok tell a bunch of people that it is a bearer and agent of the Creator's purpose. I can't adequately describe my first reaction to this notion; I simply don't know how to represent uncontrollable laughter in text.

There's more to this letter than inflammatory rhetoric. Let me explain. If people on ragnarok thinks that it can make me have to fight with one hand tied behind my back, then it's barking up the wrong tree. I unquestionably dislike people on ragnarok. Likes or dislikes, however, are irrelevant to observed facts, such as that if you can make any sense out people on ragnarok's headstrong nostrums, then you must have gotten higher marks in school than I did. If we look beyond people on ragnarok's delusions of grandeur, we see that I have begged its janissaries to step forth and provide some balance to people on ragnarok's one-sided utterances. To date, not a single soul has agreed to help in this fashion. Are they worried about how people on ragnarok might retaliate? After days of agonized pondering and reflection, I finally came to the conclusion that I can no longer get very excited about any revelation of people on ragnarok's hypocrisy or crookedness. It's what I've come to expect by now. We must wage war on alcoholism. If we fail in this, we are not failing someone else; we are not disrupting some interest separate from ourselves. Rather, it is we who suffer when we neglect to observe that that's just one side of the coin. The other side is that we must honor our nation's glorious mosaic of cultures and ethnicities. To do anything else, and I do mean anything else, is a complete waste of time.

People on ragnarok is an opportunist. That is, it is an ideological chameleon, without any real morality, without a soul. In the past, it was perfectly clear to everyone with insight and without malice that people on ragnarok should just exercise some common sense and some common decency. Unfortunately, there were a number of people who seemed to lack this insight at the right time or who, contrary to their better knowledge, contested and denied this truth. People on ragnarok will cater to the basest instincts of uncivilized galoots long before it can convert me into one of its helpers. My argument is that an axiom among people on ragnarok's lapdogs is that an open party with unlimited access to alcohol can't possibly outgrow the host's ability to manage the crowd. Ridiculous? Not so.

I certainly hope that the truth will prevail and that justice will be served before people on ragnarok does any real damage. Or is it already too late? We should be able to look into our own souls for the answer. If we do, I suspect we'll find that self-satisfied, contentious boors are more susceptible to people on ragnarok's brainwashing tactics than are any other group. Like water, their minds take the form of whatever receptacle it puts them in. They then lose all recollection that any rational argument must acknowledge this. People on ragnarok's addlepated belief systems, naturally, do not. People on ragnarok accuses me of being hate-filled, yet it is it who is filled with hate. And it accuses me of being bigoted, while its remarks show nothing but bigotry. Why does people on ragnarok make those sorts of accusations, then? My answer is, as always, a model of clarity and the soul of wit: I don't know. However, I do know that biased anthropophagi, motivated by either immoralism or a desire to lead a sophomoric life, are eager to help people on ragnarok throw away our freedom, our honor, and our future. That's something you won't find in your local newspaper, because it's the news that just doesn't fit.

I used to think that shameless tax cheats were the most sinful people on the planet, but now I know that people on ragnarok likes thinking thoughts that aren't burdensome and that feel good. That's why I have a message for it. My message is that, for the good of us all, it should never teach pushy concepts to children. It should never even try to do such a possession-obsessed thing. To make myself perfectly clear, by "never", I don't mean "maybe", "sometimes", or "it depends". I mean only that people on ragnarok wouldn't know a new idea if it hit it over the head. (Actually, people on ragnarok doesn't reck one whit about how others might feel, but that's not important now.) Any meaningful analysis of the situation must allow for the fact that people on ragnarok should think about how its equivocations lead squalid spouters to keep essential documents hidden from the public until they become politically moot. If people on ragnarok doesn't want to think that hard, perhaps it should just keep quiet. People on ragnarok operates on an international scale to take away our sense of community and leave us morally adrift. It's only fitting, therefore, that we, too, work on an international scale, but to get my message about people on ragnarok out to the world.

People on ragnarok's perorations may sound comfortable and simple, but it must not be forgotten that people on ragnarok maintains that it is not only acceptable, but indeed desirable, to engage in or goad others into engaging in illegal acts. This is hardly the case. Rather, there is growing evidence that says, to the contrary, that I don't need to tell you that its favorite scapegoats are the government, the economy, the environment, society, parents, teachers, and just about everything else. That should be self-evident. What is less evident is that I want to fight the good fight. But first, let me pose an abstract question. Will the world ever be free of pea-brained troublemakers like it? Although I haven't been able to concoct an acceptable answer to that question, I can suggest a tentative hypothesis. My hypothesis is that if it can overawe and befuddle a sufficient number of prominent individuals, then it will become virtually impossible for anyone to call your attention to the problem of detestable goofballs. People on ragnarok proclaims at every opportunity that it'd never convince others that saturnine mouthpieces for mingy gnosticism are the "chosen people" of scriptural prophecy. The organization doth protest too much, methinks. Let me close where I began: It seems a bit late in the day for people on ragnarok to remove the misunderstanding that it has created in the minds of myriad people throughout the world.

This rant has been generated using Scott Pakin's automatic complaint-letter generator

-----------------------------------------------------------

Did you read all that? Because I surely didn't.

Happy April Fools Day. \^-^/

This will be my last rant. Really. I need to get back on typing up adventures than stories that spits forth angst and stuff. (>_<)

Oh dear... Hope no one's too upset with this joke.
Heard any good rumors/gossip about Pmissy lately?

It's so damn interesting how rumors come to be. Someone who has more freetime and creative thinking than most other people just spit out whatever is on their heads and the listeners turn it to gospel and spreads the gossip around. When the person who hears these rumors and it [rumors] involves him/her, it gets rather annoying at times.

Some readers might have heard these by now. If not, here are a few:

- Pmissy's engaged to _______; /tell pmissy when's the wedding? :D

- Pmissy is DCA's deathbitch. She deliberately suicides to get sympathy from people.

- SaladTossers is dead.

- 64 Taru dynamis isn't happening.

- Pmissy is leaving DiulaII for _______.

- Pmissy is quitting FFXI/selling her account.

- Pmissy is a gilbuyer.

- Pmissy stopped leveling BLM.

You know how people hear things on the street... be it newspapers, TV, word-of-mouth (hearsay), you know... the media, and people are quickly to take whatever said as gospel/written in stone and starts telling other people, blah blah. Tall tales. To me, I have to see for it myself to believe these things rather than quickly judge from what people say.

But what's to stop people from spreading the same lies (times infinity)? A person makes something up, tells two people, those two people tells it to two more people. It's like fighting Bastok M19 slime NM. It multiplies. You get the idea.

So let's begin on the post of explaining myself.

----------------------------------------
- Pmissy's engaged to _______; /tell pmissy when's the wedding? :D
----------------------------------------

How this came about, I do not know. I simply took off the 'Castors Ring' in my bazaar I have had in there 24/7 for the past.... oh... half a year or more (ever since that quest came out) at the amount of 10,000,000 slowly reduced to 3,000,000 gil with a bazaar comment that simply said 'High maintence taru. If you can afford me, I'll marry you. Buy my ring.'

Quite a few laughs and giggles here and there. Seriously... Who would buy the ring for such a ridiculous price? I was *DREAMING* someone WOULD buy it so that I may purchase a vermy as 'his' way of giving me a pre-wedding present. But blah blah. I'm blabbering.

Back on subject. Pmissy is not engaged. Pmissy just took off the ring from bazaar to free up '1' space in her inventory for another needed item. Also, it gives a different feel to run around with the color of the LS pearl(s) instead of a 24/7 baggy icon thingy.

To hormone-overdriven male readers: Pmissy's answer is 'no'. Pmissy is happily enjoying her adventures as 'single' status. You may ask the question all you want. But if Pmissy doesn't answer you, don't take it personally. There's a LOT of fishes in the sea to choose from. Her decision will have to land on one trusted person. It's like lotting for AF2. You pray for the highest /random 99x lot, but you get a lousy '2' lot. Better luck next time. \^-^/ keep trying. It shows you care. [Does this make Pmissy a whore? (._.)] *sigh*

-----------------------------------------
- Pmissy is DCA's deathbitch. She deliberately suicides to get sympathy from people.
-----------------------------------------

Let's get one thing straight. Pmissy is 'Psycho'. Hence her name. She's not 'Psycho' without reason. What does she do that gets her killed so much? Does she nuke? OH PLEASE!!!! Someone with a log parser or FRAPS without filters on, PLEASE, PLEASE, paste a picture that shows where Pmissy consistantly and deliberately nukes herself to death DCA. UNLESS, it's a controlled situation.

I don't know about other RDM/BRD/BLM's, but I "DO NOT NUKE A LOT". -period- Instead, I "Sleepga II". Why do I sleepga II? Because Sleepga II > Sleepga I/Lullabye. The time duration of Sleepga II is noticably longer than Sleepga I/Lullabye. You can test this yourself ANYWHERE. Doesn't have to be in Dynamis/DCA/wherever. Lullabye duration depends on the BRD's skill level + CHR. I don't know what factors into this, but duration time varies. However, Sleepga I and II are somewhat consistant. I believe they should be around every 60 - 70 seconds for sleepga I and at least 90 seconds for Sleepga II. Notice I said 'I believe'. Run your own tests. I work from experience.

What would you rather have? RDM's sleepga I while having to cure/haste/refresh/dispel/debuff people in their party or an idle BLM that just sleepga II's and backup cures while giving the entire alliance MORE time to nitpick slept beastmen to death? Sure RDM's have convert and refresh. But if you have NEVER played an RDM before, go ahead and play it until you have refresh and convert. You think that they're miracle workers that they can spit out spells from their asses and have unlimited mp.

BLM/rdm's can dispel + gravity + silence. As for defense, they get Blink, Stoneskin, AND Phalanx. This is for my safety. However, if a SMN/xxx is in the party, I'd let them cast for me. It's purely for self-defense.

Do you people who spread this rumor TRULY believe I like to die for fun? (well, for the most part, no.) But really. I cast it only to give the alliance MORE time to take out units from a safe distance.

The reason why I die most of the time is because beastmens wake up and I have NO SPACE TO RUN! Everyone is clogged up the narrow paths that I have to push myself through crowds to run away. Most of the time, the beastmen would catch up because they can walk through and run while hitting/without missing targets.

Beastmen can run while casting spells. Remember that. They're 100% running while not interrupted AI's. Silence them, yes. But YOU, have to stop to cast silence. By that time, they would've caught up to you and got a good 2 - 3 whacks at you. Even with blink/stoneskin/phalanx, it takes 2.5 hits to knock me down. Igqira gear's curse does SHIT. It helps a little, but it does SHIT in return damage.

I encourage other BLM's to help me cast front-line sleepga. I mean.. REALLY! I am but one taru with two hands, two legs, and limited cast-time with one RADIUS to sleepga. If you successfully sleepga II'd beastmen, you will understand how I feel. It's feels GREAT to know deep inside that you saved 18+ people from zenmetsu because you bought them time.

For example,

Pmissy casts Sleepga II on {insert beastmen name here}.

{beastmen name} is asleep.
{beastmen name} is asleep.
{beastmen name} is asleep.
{beastmen name} is asleep.
{beastmen name} is asleep.
{beastmen name} is asleep.
{beastmen name} is asleep.

I can point and laugh inside my morbid heart at the people whose butts I just bought time for to kill the beastmen one by one than have 7+ beastmen run around randomly hitting people for no reason.

Again, I am blabbering. You get my point already.

But then again, if your exp is soooooo damn important to you that you don't FEEL like eating raise 1/2, then you should go do Garrison. Dynamis isn't for you. No wait... you're just here for AF2 and leave. I'm sorry. I'll shut up now.

---------------------------------
- SaladTossers is dead.
---------------------------------

Is it dead? I just haven't organized runs. That's all. I postponed runs because I want to do two things before I start it up again:

- Solo M11 as RDM50/nin25; yes. It can be done: http://www.nekochan.net/~qingdom/ffxi/m5-1_rdmsolo.avi

- Solo M12 as RDM74(5)/nin37; it has been done, i have no video link.

My NIN is now 19. Which means I have 18 levels to go before I can continue randomly pm'ing Bastok people to get rank 10 (IN WHICH) less than 1% of whomever I recruit will ditch the LS once we switch to Windy *again*.

It takes time to PM each and every person the same shit over and over. Don't believe me? Try it yourself. You may say I'm bullshitting you, but go ahead. PM 88+ people like I did for Sandoria. If you're too lazy, then get out of my face. Don't whine and complain at me for nothing like I don't know better.

Numerous times have I asked for people to assist in leading runs. Sure, they say 'yes'. But little is done. If they want to help, do something. Make up an event. Invite people. I don't have time to organize everything. If I did, I would set it up myself. The fact is, I don't have time. Which is why things don't get done, things don't happen, and it falls down to me being a bad leader. Thus, I end up being irresponsible. Can't win for shit.

But everyone wants things handed to them on a silver platter/ready-to-assemble kit. I have no time. If I did, I would do this. People don't understand. I try to explain to them, things gets quiet. What am I to do? (._.)

I'm blabbering again. SaladTossers is not dead. I'll pick it up again once I finish my goals as explained.

------------------------------------
- 64 Taru dynamis isn't happening.
------------------------------------

This is pretty much it. It isn't happening. Not April 1st/2nd that is.

Problem is, too many HNMLS drama conflicts. We have taru's who despise other taru's of other LS's because of 'such and such' reason.

To have 64 taru's unified to do an event, it'll take a lot (and I mean A LOT) of patience and energy to convince them to come, be happy, enjoy the night of blast and fireworks.

Nope. Ain't gonna happen. Once AF2 drops, IQ from AT LEAST 10% of the LS will drop significantly.

But.. but... Taru's have the highest INT+ in the game!!!! [Please, don't get me started on that. -_-; don't go there.]

Will it ever happen? Yes. Yes it will. Will it be me making it happen? Probably not. Will some other server pull this off successfully? Who knows? If they do pull it off, more power to them. I just wished everyone would set aside their differences for one night and work together peacefully AND keep a good demeanor when 'special' things drop.

-------------------------------------
- Pmissy is leaving DiulaII for _______.
-------------------------------------

Pmissy has NO intention of this. Whoever made this rumor up should rot in hell. Sure Pmissy has wrote some things in angst in previous journal entries, but that does not constitute this rumor spreading.

Before DiulaII, there was Diula. Before Diula, there was SARS. Before SARS, Pmissy was in TheConch, FidosConch. Pmissy was also in BrilliantOperations, WhoAreWe, OpoOpoClub, and SoulPirates. In fact, she still has those pearls (except for SARS+Diula because it's now DiulaII, and TheConch/FidosConch [long story])

Just because she switches pearls from time to time AND made her own mission LS does not mean she's leaving DiulaII. Pmissy has no further comment on this.

-------------------------------------
- Pmissy is quitting FFXI/selling her account.
-------------------------------------

I have sent IGE.com an email asking the potential market price for this account. They returned with an answer of '$75'. Yes yes. We know it's a stupid price and realistically, they CAN turn around and sell it for $499+.

This was back in October. This was when WoW came out. Market shift, yada yada. It was a JOKE! Well, kinda. I was hoping to recieve an answer of $1099+ and I would sell it and start anew. But too much wishful thinking. I was disappointed and shocked at the $75 quote.

But no. I have no intention of quitting... yet. There's still a lot of things to accomplish that I have not yet accomplished. Before I get those things settled, I'm here to stay. Next question.

-------------------------------------
- Pmissy is a gilbuyer.
-------------------------------------

Prove it. Right now, Pmissy is as poor as a 'Stone Eater' trying to kill a lvl 1 n00b. I'm barely surviving on Crag chocobo's. Struggling with 13k gil in savings.

I dislike farming and I dislike crafting.

Now I would like to ask readers:

Anyone want to do BCNM40 worms (y.seals) or BCNM30 (b.seals), please let me know. Thank you.

--------------------------------------
- Pmissy stopped leveling BLM.
--------------------------------------

This is correct. Who wants a BLM74 taru? I could put up LFP for 5 hours and not ONE bloody invite by some random party.

The only chance I ever DO get into a party is either with LS setups for merit points OR manaburn parties. This seldomly happens.

Yet, I have nothing better to do than sacrifice myself in DCA. Go to hell, you bloody accusers.

On a side note:

Anyone want to do escort npc runs? Please let me know. Thank you.

---------------------------------------

I think this is all. Right? Am I missing any more rumors I should be addressing before things gets out of hand again?

The faster I catch these before they grow out of proportion, the less I would have to be angry at for the stupid people that think of it and spread it around without bringing it up to me first.

/em puts on fake [GM] hat.

[GM]Pmissy>> Please report any false rumors to Pmissy should you hear any. Thank you.
But yes. You are a toenail. You usually get in the way of peoples' lives and are annoying at times, but people hang out with you because you are amusing. You enjoy acting retarded in front of large crowds of people. Many may call you a dork and a loser, but the truth is that you are very intelligent, and this will be proven in the near future. You are dependent on your friends, but you are not willing to conform into society's stereotypical mold. You may be called a loser, but at least you aren't a nobody. Even the opposite sex finds your uniqueness attractive. You stand out, and that's what makes you special. I would open a fortune-telling booth next to those two taru's in Lower Jeuno and hand patrons these fill-in questions out and look up the answer and charge 1,000gil for the service!
Maybe Pmissy should stop caring.

Yes, indeed. Perhaps it may be best for me to stop caring altogether.

Pmissy should stop caring about SaladTossers, her Mission LS.

Pmissy should stop caring about other people's fame level.

Pmissy should stop caring about other people's gil saved up.

Pmissy should stop caring about other people's pending rank/quests/missions.

Pmissy should stop caring about putting together group related events.

Pmissy should stop caring about putting together 64 Taru dynamis.

Pmissy should stop caring about DiuLaII, her hanging out/HNM/multi-purpose LS.

Pmissy should stop caring about her set PT.

Pmissy should stop caring about her set CoP PT.

Pmissy should stop caring about attending LS events.

Pmissy should stop caring about attending HNM events.

Pmissy should stop caring about attending DCA, her Dynamis LS.

Pmissy should stop caring about sleepga'ing pops in DCA.

So what should Pmissy start caring about?

Pmissy should start caring about real life and quit FFXI.

I play this game to leave a mundane real world, in a mundane place working 12pm-8pm desk job, hoping to relieve a bit of stress by escaping into an out-of-world place where imagination is a key to a certain happiness and comfort zone.

I became lost somewhere. Or was it other people who became lost? I'm an adventurer. I play this game to explore things.

I do not play this game to race the person next to me to get that extra .1 skill up and say 'harhar! 0.1 skill up! I'm leading, therefore, I'm better than you!'

I do not play this game to speed level pass everyone else and leave them in the dust when they need help.

But I get trapped in between the process of them leveling and I'm just joining in on the bandwagon. Is it time to jump off the bandwagon and do other things?

I play this game to help people. I enjoy helping people. Ask anyone. If they need anything done AND I have the TIME to assist, I would come.

What I dislike is people stepping over people or on top of peopleto get to the next level. Being in so many LS's and communities, I see people come and go. It pains me even more that this happens to me.

People would get what they want and they leave. Sometimes, not even a SINCERE 'Thank you' comes from them.

I do not like drama. I try to steer clear of drama altogether. If I see a problem, I'd ignore it.

But what happens to a person or what goes on through the persons' head when he or she is part of that drama? How should I be reacting? Someone please tell me/enlighten me or something.

What have I done to deserve this kind of abuse?

I prayed and prayed and prayed simply for people to take a step back once in a while and fucking 'LISTEN'. It seldomly happens.

It's like divine beings taunting a little child with a boxed present. They know what they wished for is inside. Then, the box is opened SLIGHTLY a little, but enough for the child to take a sneak peak, AND almost able to touch it and hold it. Then, *SLAM*, box closes and they dashed to the other side of the room taunting the little child to crawl over to it again.

SaladTossers: I helped over 88+ people get their rank 10 flags. Sandoria hasn't been #1 for the last 2 months. Only 8 switched over to Bastok. I hear nothing from the 80+ other people in regards to helping other Sandoria Rank 6+'rs reach rank 10. I hear nothing from the liasons' I've appointed in the many different LS's in setting up runs or getting people to help assign runs.

64 Taru Dynamis: I've been hearing countless reports of LS's at each other's throats claiming HNM's, stealing mobs, mpk'ing and what-not. How can I convince the server's population of Taru's to set aside their differences for ONE evening for ONE event to make it a special day where 64 unique individuals can look back later in their life and say 'I did that, and it was hella fun'? How can I convince all the other races in the many different HNM/Tulia/Dynamis LS's to allow such a unified run without causing further drama or bringing drama into a 'new' event-only LS?

DiuLaII: I'll use an analogy. What goes on with other families, there are sibling rivalries, parent rivalries, yada yada. When the child turns 18, parents either kick them out the house or the child leaves willingly on their own when they feel that 'it's time'. I'm pondering the latter. Otherwise, no comment.

DCA: Countless numbers of requests sent to Kittycat. Some plans were newly devised for the better. Most suggestions were left unchecked and/or unanswered. Most BLM's even in the sleepga party are still nuke-a-holics. I can't do anything about this. Perhaps it's because I always land my sleepga's first that they give up on trying. However, if they had any sense of security and teamwork, they would land another on top of mines JUST to make sure mine stuck OR be on the lookout for any other spawns that I didn't manage to catch. Nonetheless, they should save their MP to help with cures and other things. That's why there's a BLM NUKE party and a BLM SLEEPGA party. I know my role, but why can't they?

All-in-all, right now, Pmissy is one pissed, angry Taru. Tolerance level is drained but not gone completely. The worst thing that can happen is that Pmissy will turn from a genuine helper to hellborn mpk'r.

"To every action, there's an equal reaction."

I can and will turn equally as devious and evil just as I am now kind and gentle. It just takes a few more people to push my buttons until I turn.

This is not a threat. It's just what would eventually happen.
Sadness Abounds in Pmissy-land

It's so damn hard to find people to do things with.

There are a lot of times I wish there were other me's in this server.

Quite a lot of times I want to test crazy theories and experiments but not that many other people are interested in testing them out because people either:

- lack interest
- fear of losing exp
- not being able to gain anything in return
- finds it pointless

So I would have to toss the idea on the back-burner or discard the thought altogether.

What happened to 'curiousity' or the 'sense of adventure'? To explore unknowns and to test out new methods/ways of doing things?

I don't know.

There are SOOOO many things I want to do but I cannot seem to find other people who are curious enough to do them with me.

By the time I DO get a party/alliance together, it's like 'Ho-Hum', what's new?

People would wait until a walkthrough comes up to answer how things are done just to be able to do them. It's sad, but when doing things comes down to having a cheatsheet, it takes the sense of the 'unknown' out of it.

It use to be back in the day when I would tell my LS-mates that 6xBLM BCNM40 worm parties were doable, but nope, people disagree with me saying it cant be done. He/She would say need a tank, a bard, and/or a BST. A TANK(?!?!?!).. Bard I understand.. but tank?? A BST???

Then they go ahead and make a 6xBST rabbit BCNM40 party. Close to the same drops. blah blah.

So in order to say it can be done, I had to put together my own team outside of the LS to do things.

Did it work? Yes it did. We passed the BC and we routinely did it for several months until we ran out of seals and eventually broke up because of the lack of seals to do weekly runs.

I had my fun with them. It was when I forcefully put together an LS team that they were convinced how easy it was and made it into an event.

But that's besides the point. When I get left behind from LS-mates in doing missions, I didn't fret. They promised to help me when the time comes to do things. I held them to that promise without saying a word. When the time does come, they have other 'important' things to do because they promised other people to do it that particular day.

I can't blame them. I did the same things with empty promises. I know the feeling of being left behind is a depressing matter.

Come mission-wise, he/she would switch nations. They promise to come help for non-BC missions. Yet that never happens. It never does.

What's left to do? I had to wait for some strange invite or go ahead to put my own party together.

So what's the problem? The problem is that missions that needs an alliance of people to finish, I tend to invite too many people. Eventually I formed an LS formed because of it.

I made a promise to these people to help them all get rank 10. I did my best to keep that promise. Most people made a promise to help the LS as well when they are needed.

So what happens? I dedicate myself every weekend to weekly runs while 90% of the 'graduated' rank 10'rs go their merry way and do their own things. They do not come unless I PM them to come. Some of which are in the middle of doing other things already. They know about the time schedules. I made the times in such a way it's nearly impossible to forget because we did it every week for the pass 2 months. Not unless they never ever paid any attention to it. Though, that's highly unlikely. It's like... *SHIT*???

Quite a few people miss missions because of timezone problems. Quite a lot of people never do their prep work as told days beforehand. Delays, delays, and more delays. But eventually, they get done. Or did they? I extended my LS one entire month to do missions. I cannot control my work hours, however, people CAN control their weekend playtime. People who miss missions because of timezones, why cannot they adjust for the missing weeks to complete it?

Some people leave during some runs because they had to. I can't win them all. I can't satisfy everyone. Though I know I did my best.

Fast forward to present day. The people who made a promise to switch nations took back on their promise because of unforseen circumstances. Switching nations erased the person's outpost teleports and ballista licenses because of some damned odd regulation from S-E. I blame S-E. But, if they were true to their promise, they would choose to follow nonetheless. To keep going. But who am I to make such a demand? I'm not a demanding type person. I give people choices. It saddens me a lot when they make the choice I don't want them to, but oh well. Like I said, I can't win them all.

I guess outpost teleports and ballista licenses takes more importance over friendships, hardships, and adventuring.

If there were other me's on this server, I would know what I would be thinking, how I would do things, how to execute it with timing, etc. I would be able to see the BIGGER picture of things. But alas, if only things were that way.

Outpost teleports can be redone. Ballista licenses can be redone. It just takes time. As if 'time' was an issue already. Pfft. All of us already spent countless COUNTLESS hours to this game. What's an extra few weeks 'patiently' waiting for nations to take over areas to redo supply runs going to do? meh.

To those who followed me toward the road to the unknown, I can call them true-adventurers. You have my thanks. You were willing to make the same sacrifices I did just to explore new things. This is what makes adventuring in FFXI special.

As for the rest of the 90% of the people who got what they wanted from others including myself, I pray they enjoy their rewards.

I have this theory that with CoP brought out, there will be new rank missions introduced sometime later this year. Although M20 missions from all three nations seemed to 'end' the storyline, CoP does not follow Zilart. Quite possibly, the new missions follow a new story arc.

Or even quite perhaps that the new mission runs are Jeuno-based. In order to gain Jeuno citizenship, the person must trade all three nation's flags to open the Jeuno missions.

This is just a theory, but it makes sense to people I have shared it with.

Come time when people DO want Jeuno citizenship, I'm not going to bother dedicating myself to making runs. They didn't care then, they didn't care now, therefore, I'm not going to care when that time comes.

I simply dislike myself and others who helped these people do missions being 'used'. It makes me feel cheap. It makes me feel guilty of making those who helped feel cheap.

I'm ----> <---- this close to breaking SaladTossers and scrapping the idea of 64 Taru Dynamis altogether.

There exists too many people who have that 'Been there, done that, not going to try again, thanks.' personality. I see it in SaladTossers, I will see it in 64 Taru Dynamis. Then drama forms rather than seeing people have fun.

There are days I ask myself why I put myself through such pain, misery, and torture. It use to be that I try to convince myself I am making that someone happy and satisfied. Now, I honestly don't know.

Perhaps it's to finish satisfying my curiousity of making my dreams and ideas come true. Perhaps it's that I do not want to give up on the people who do want to try and accomplish the same goal as I.

Managing the LS and playing leader/team-captain is tiring, yes. And I'm tired. I'm very tired. And I'm close to giving up. Otherwise, I just want someone with more energy to take over. My patience for having patience is really running extremely thin.

And I want to cry. *sigh* (._.)
Pesh and Falcor from SoulPirates have generously offered board space for SaladTossers on their forums. \^-^/

If you are an adventurer who would like to breeze through all three nations to obtain their flags, aketon, signet staff, and explore their storylines, do pay a visit to the boards.

Eventually, ST will be moving onto fixating group adventures and events like a full-scale garrison or perhaps a full-scale ballista run. Ideas are still on the drawing board, but if you're interested, URL is: http://www.soulpirates.net/forums/index.php?c=9

Do mind the current lack of posts and topics.
Regarding: 64 Taru Dynamis

I have came up with the namelist so far. ^_^

Am I missing anyone's name that should be on here?

Since we have more names than the 64-limit, More thank likely, I will need to interview each and every taru that's attending.

I need to know their opinions as to whether make the entry requirements: 1) lvl 70+ only or 2) lvl 68+

This is to ensure safety for the 68-69'rs because many things can go wrong. ^^;

I need to know from the other players whether to treat this event as a 'sneak peak' into Dynamis for those who never attended Dynamis before OR treat this event as a free-for-all + anything-goes nuke fest (or both, perhaps) ^_^

What concerns me are the item drops and AF2 drops. Drama will erupt from it, this is a certain. Unless some rules are set in place beforehand that everyone agrees upon. In the case that drama does happen, it may be the end of future of any 64 Taru get-togethers. (we don't want that now, do we?) ^^;

------------------------------

In any case, I have spoken with:

(Zenmetsu) Nodachi. It seems Stormos didn't pass word to Nodachi when I spoke with him this morning. :P Nodachi is okay with the idea of an APR-01/02 run but will have to speak with the other sack holders. Let's keep our fingers crossed. ^^;

(ShamanLegacy) Diabolik. Diabolik is okay with the idea. His Dynamis runs are based on Tuesdays, whereas he attends WhoAreWe's Dynamis on Saturdays. There's no trouble that he can see with it. Diabolik wants to take a video of it. But unfortunately, Diabolik is an Elvaan. Perhaps in some future run, he can come take footage. ^^;

------------------------------

I haven't spoken with Gwenn yet. Anyone else know of other Dynamis LS leaders I should speak to? Please let me know.

Without further ado, the semi-complete namelist: \^-^/

-A-
Acemonkey
Amiel
Anaya
Apocalypse
Appie

-B-
Bebetaro
Blightfire

-C-
Caedes
Chemistry
Chibihibi
Chonataru
Crexis
Cupo

-D-
Danksta
Desouled
Deviruchi
Diamondstip
Dingleberry
Dingleberry
Dukefleed

-E-
Ebichu
Eeron
Ekco
Erinda
Ezzie

-F-
Fcube
Feiht

-G-
Gamabunta
Grann
Guerrant

-H-
Hollaback
Husband
Hyaiishi

-I-
Isocutis

-J-
Jaffla

-K-
Kaga
Kamalii
Kelandil
Kendlar
Kerberoz
Khasim
Kiuma

-L-
Leukemia
Liljon
Lubu

-M-
Makore
Marissa
Milhouse
Minibeefcake
Mogrika

-N-
Nemar
Nikkitomi

-O-
Odyne

-P-
Panos
Pesh
Piyuyu
Psychomistress

-Q-

-R-
Rampal
Russta
Rygar

-S-
Sabante
Sephy
Sness
Sprightly
Starseed
Stratocaster
Swisha

-T-
Thejon
Tullyamo

-U-

-V-

-W-
Waiwai
Weman
Wewt
Whimsical
Wiccatu
Windfoxster
Wysard

-X-
Xiaozhao

-Y-

-Z-

Total: 76 names (*eep*)
There's 2 weekends left before March. I want to switch the week of Mar 01. Hopefully, Feb 27th will be the last sunday for doing Sandy M20 runs.

My primary LS, DiuLa, is complete. All the members who are Sandorians are all Rank 10. Quite a few are ready to switch over to Bastok.

What is delaying the switch are two other LS's I am trying to keep an eye on. They include SoulPirates and GwennsLovelyLS.

I've tried for the pass 3 weeks to get those two LS's to respond/give feedback of the runs. Quite a lot choose not to participate even though I post notifications on their forums. Almost all of those who needs the missions ignore the fact that they exist.

So if they have any complaints about me taking their LS-mates to Bastok come March 01, guess what? It's not my problem. \^-^/

For the pass month and a half, I've been setting up M18 through M20 runs. Due to commitments with Set PT and DCA Dynamis (as explained in a previous entry), I only have Friday evenings and Sunday afternoons free to do any sort of mission run.

Leave it to Square-Enix to set up stupid JST 0000 wait times for M14 (King Ranp. Tomb - 3NM skeleton fight) and M17 (Quicksand Caves - 2NM Kraken-type fight). This problem sets delays to a series of runs in a single day.

To rectify this, I have posted in lsmes, SP and GLLS boards for volunteers to do runs in phases:

- up to M14 (Any mission Rank 1 through Rank 6.2 + JST 0000 wait time)
- M15 - M17 (West Ronf. NM + Horlais Peak BC + QuickSand NM + JST 0000 wait time)
- M18 - M19.1 (Temple of Ugg. - 2NM dolls + solo Valley of Sorrows & Xarcarbard for ???)
- M19.2 - M20 (Batallia - 2NM Giant Birds + Fei'yin BC)

Lack of responses puts me on a stand-still. Meaning I have to do most of the organization myself. However, I do my best to make the best of things.

I still see a long list of people on Rank 5 in both LS's. Quite a number on Rank 6 + 7. Others on Rank 8. Then I see random Rank 9'rs waiting for M19 + M20. Without volunteers to help me organize runs to get everyone up to a unified par, eep. It will take over two more months to get lazy people their rank 10's just to switch.

I already forfeited Feb 01 to switch to Bastok. I delayed an additional month to get more SP'rs and GLLS'rs to rank 10.

Those who showed interest in obtaining all three nations' flags did their part, showed up, participated, and lent a hand with everyone else. Those who showed no interest, shame. Sad to say, but I cannot taru-sit each and every person in every LS in Ragnarok Vana'diel to do missions. (._.)

As if I didn't have enough on my hands as it is. *sigh*

I try not to leave anyone behind. There's nothing worse than being 'left-behind' in any community (let alone an LS).

People may say to the person 'Oh yes. I'll help you do the run when you need it.' But in reality, when the time DOES come, he or she will have a conflicting agenda and cannot assist.

I've seen a lot of those. I've been a victim to plenty of empty promises. I can remember quite a few empty promises I did myself.

I try to make up for it here. Whether or not I'm doing a good job at it, I don't know. However, I do know I at least try to make do for it. It's a self-inflicted punishment I place on myself.

People who cannot realize the effort and reasoning I put behind this will someday see it. Others will just be like a child who sits in the corner, pouts, whines and/or complains.

My tolerance and patience grows thin daily because of it.

What can be done? They want mission runs done? If they didn't come when planned, best of luck to them shouting their lungs off in Jeuno.

Not my problem. They didn't show the effort on their part.

After March 01,

(San d'Oria)(mission)(Do you need it?)(No thanks.)(I'm tired.)(I'm sorry.)(I'm not up for it.)

- Pmissy

P.S. - (Bastok)(mission)(Do you need it?)(Yes, please.)(I'm interested.)(Thank you.)
With big ambitious goals floating in the sky, more little stuff has been accomplished on the down-to-earth area.

Some of these stuffs include:

- RDM turned 68
- WHM turned 57
- NIN turned 11

- Cabinets x15 bought (24,000 gil each)
- Warlocks Mantle bought (800,000 gil)
- Cursed Mitts bought (1,200,000 gil)

- BLM AF2 gloves (obtained)
- Temple of Ugg. map (obtained)

And a lot of other forgotten things! Yay! :D

Such a sad thing. To be able to play and do things and not log them down. Eventually wonderful memories will be forgotten until something, someplace, somewhere triggers rememberance.

That's what I get for being lazy. ^^;

---------------
- RDM turned 68
---------------

Anyhoo. Set PT has now reached 68. I am @12k until 69. Playing RDM now reminded me how it was like to play BLM58-66 with Set PT back in the day.

Our set party back then was Juibb (RDM), Icemaple (MNK), Bebetaro (NIN), Oosh (BRD), (someone), and myself (BLM). Oosh stopped playing BRD after 60. We picked up Mitsune during the Onzozo levels. Soon after, I was stuck at BLM66 because Bebetaro quit playing our NIN.

Our present day PT includes Juibb (WAR), Bash (RNG), Kirei (SMN), Coshise (NIN), Kelandil (BRD), and myself (RDM). Ekim use to be our NIN until he stopped. We picked up Coshise who was coincidentally leveling NIN and caught up with us.

Not that I'm complaining to have a Set PT from low levels until present day 68. The problem has to do with the EXP grinding. Surely getting anything to level 75 is nice.

However, It's like taking a fresh round Orange in which you want to drink just the juice and not the pulp. So you squeeze it. You drink the glass of juice, yet you are just not satisfied so you squeeze every droplet of juice out of that single orange until it's no longer... well... (fill in a word).

Square really has to do something with these max-level dilemma's. It causes a lot of people to ... I don't know... possibly 'lose interest' in a lot of things?

Anyhoo, my RDM is now complete. All spells has been obtained and learned. Lvl68 allowed me to learn Shell IV. This is the last white-magic spell so far in the game to learn. Aero III, Blizzard III, Thunder III, I will have to wait 7 more levels before I will be able to use these. I already learned them on my BLM counterpart. ^^;

---------------
- WHM turned 57
---------------

There happens to be one of those weekend days when everything is done and there's nothing left to do except for solo'ing quests, farming, or LFP'ing.

So on one Saturday after DCA Dynamis, there was nothing left to do. The night was still early. It was like 12:15am-ish. So I put up LFP.

These are those times where putting LFP meant very little but means so much. I tried to search for parties days before when there was nothing to do as WHM. Yet, I recieve no invites. Taru WHM's must be obsolete now. *sigh* (._.)

It was either that or it was off-peak hours. JP's filled the search list whereas EN's are sleeping. Last resort, make my own PT with limited JP 101 sentences. YAY! :D

So I formed a party of NIN/war, WAR/nin, BDR/whm, BLM/whm, BLM/whm, and WHM/smn (myself).

Before the party left Jeuno, I asked them if they were okay with the party layout. Everyone said it was okay even though there was some doubts. ^^;

Boyahda tree was full. There was like 8 parties there. Gustav tunnel was full. There was like 6 parties there. Kuftal had 5 parties. Cape Terrigan has 5 as well.

We decided to go Cape Terrigan and kill crabs. Boyahda was filled to the brink judging from the search list. Only other place with crabs would be Kuftal/Cape Terrigan.

So we found ourselves at the beachside entrance to Valley of Sorrows. We set camp at the turn corner. Did numerous pulls on crabs. Just so happens the 2 parties in front of us were a bit higher, they were killing pugils leaving plenty of crabs for us. :D

I was in one of those parties where everyone had doubts not knowing each other, not understanding each others' playstyle, habits, but by the middle thorugh the end of the party, we respectfully put each other's skill to the limit maximizing exp gain, killing fast, and not putting the party in danger. THIS is what makes putting random parties together fun. XD No drama. All fun and plenty of action.

The two BLM's discussed which debuffs they'll handle. The two melee's discussed who will be the puller and what the skillchain would be. The BRD did what he did best. And I. Well, I was simply leeching exp. XD REALLY! I felt soooo bad for not being able to cure until. Well, until SOMEONE had yellow/orange HP [which was REALLY rare].

My club and staff skills were capped by BLM. So all I was doing was cast haste and regens religiously, cast a barwatera at the beginning of fights, then sit on my tooshie until they finish killing the mob. (._.)

I should've subbed /blm and joined in nuking. (._.)

The other parties caught a few links and a few deaths in which they had to zone. We took over their leftovers and I did a few Raise II's. How ironic. Saved by the lower level party. XD

In any case. It was close to a 4 hour party. Everyone leveled with plenty of buffer into the next level. I believe they left happy because in the middle of the party, BLM's were bursting, freezing, tornado'ing left and right. WITHOUT blink + stoneskin, mind you! O_O;

They reminded me so much of ME when I was their level. \^-^/

I took pictures. Though I have to find a dumping ground to link them in. However, these will bring back memories in a while. =P

---------------
- NIN turned 11
---------------

Nothing big here. I solo'd NIN to 11. Need another 2000+ exp to learn Utsusemi: Ichi.

Dual Wielding is fun! However, I took a look at blink bag prices and did some calculations.

Now's not the right time financially to play NIN. ^^; I DO, however, plan to play RNG soon. That has been stuck at 22 for a while.

---------------------
- Cabinets x15 bought
---------------------

'Psychomistress' has been max'd at 80 storage, 80 mog house, and 55 inventory for quite a while now.

The cabinets were bought to give 'Pmissy' extra storage in replacement of Water Jugs. Some of you readers might remember the time when I would sit in Windy bazaaring Water Jugs. ^_^;

Pmissy is not yet expanded. She has been stuck in Windy since.... since forever. Never set foot outside the city walls. ^^; (well, except to Castle Oztroja during the Summer Festival) She got her NQ Yukata that way. :P

I might just do that once again for fun. Bazaar Water Jugs while I idle during workhours. =P

------------------------
- Warlocks Mantle bought
------------------------

This piece of armor boggles me. I am sooooo frustrated and confused with it. On one hand, I want to sell it. Yet on another, I want to hold it until I find out how it works.

Warlocks Mantle is a lvl 30 cape that has a latent effect of enhancing "Fast Cast".

I felt so stupid in paying 800,000 gil (making me highest bidder on the current list) to purchase this.

I bought it for my BLM/rdm subbing. SUPPOSEDLY, wearing it alone would be able to bring my cast time from 60% down to 50%. But nope. Any and all casts as BLM/rdm is still 60% with or without the mantle on.

Let's review my RDM currently. It has a passive "Fast Cast" ever since lvl 15. In addition, RDM AF1 hat has a "Fast Cast" attribute. This brings my casts from 70% down to 50%.

Normally, when a spell is casts, it goes off around the 65% ~ 70% mark. Each 'fast cast' takes off 10% from the cast time. RDM lvl 15+ makes casting 55% ~ 60% by default with or without subbing. Wearing AF1 hat, cast time is down to 45% ~ 50%.

So if I am BLM/rdm wearing the Mantle, I should see a 45% ~ 50% just like how I am already casting as stand-alone RDM with AF Hat on.

Nope. Doesn't work.

I've read on allakhazam, mysterytour, killingifrit that the latent effect is triggered by having /rdm sub and must be at least lvl 30 to wear it. Well, I meet those requirements. It's not working.

I did a test to get my hp to yellow and did an ancient spell just to see results. Nothing. Still goes off at 60% like even without the mantle on.

Does anyone know what's going on? I strongly believe my mantle is defective. Yet, I cannot ask for my money back. (._.)

---------------------
- Cursed Mitts bought
---------------------

I had gil to burn. ^_^ I don't even have this cursed hand scroll yet. I do, however, have a curse head scroll. I was shopping for a cursed crown. But as I take a look at the auction prices. They seem to only go higher and higher.

If I wait, it'll only be more expensive in the longrun. I think. I may have jumped the gun. I don't know.

I went ahead and bought Cursed Mitts NQ for 1.2mil because there were two in stock.

Cursed Crown was no where to be found. Last one sold was 5 days ago. (._.)

I am hoping another will pop soon so that I may grab it.

I did see one a few months back, but I did not buy it due to not having sufficient funds. Now that I do, it's sold out. (._.) I can't win.

----------------
- BLM AF2 gloves
----------------

I took last Wednesday off because of Chinese New Years. ^_^ Just so happens that DCA was doing a Wednesday run to Dynamis-Windy, I got permission from KC to come assist.

I wanted to go ahead and sponser the run, but Lenwei beat me to trading the 1mil to KC. Oh well. ^^;

Inside Dynamis, two BLM AF2 gloves dropped. First one that dropped rather shocked everyone. ^^;

I lost the lot. I had 893 vs. 9xx from another taru BLM Sper. I was convinced I could not win until members spoke up to tell Sper to pass to the veterans. I was 2nd highest. Rather a nice surprise. \^o^/

I'm really excited that I obtained the gloves. Chemistry won the second pair. Yet, I feel guilty like I ripped off Sper. (._.) [which I did, really. *sigh*]

We didn't win Dynamis-Windy. Yet, (4) 100 bills dropped for Lenwei. ^^;

I wonder if it had to do with the fact that it was New Moon (0%) when we went into Windy that this happened. A mystery, yes it is. ^^;

--------------------
- Temple of Ugg. map
--------------------

Sometime back in December, I hunted for this map for a near 3 days. ^^; It annoyed me quite a lot because the coffer was no where to be found.

I used the coffer maps per: http://www.speakeasy.net/~sticks/ffxi

I ran around and around during peak and off-peak hours. None of those areas popped. I solo'd Tonberry Cutters for a Ugg. Key to open the door to the Windy Mission ??? area. There wasn't a pop.

I was convinced by some oddly means it was behind the Prelate Key door next to the Ugg. Key room. I did a force pull on a Malendictor, aggro'd a Stabber and an elemental and died. -3k BLM74 once again. (._.)

Following morning, got another Ugg. Key, the coffer was sitting there. Nice and calmly waiting for an adventurer to come open it. \^-^/

Stupid map has been obtained. *joy*

I think that concludes this memory dump update. Until next time.

- Pmissy
I've finally found the articles that explains how people cut their journals rather than clog up the friends' daily column. =D

My posts are often long. I tend to babble. I apologize to the people who are watching me to have such long (possibly boring) threads clogging up text space. (._.)

I hope this change makes it better. ^_^

Now I need to figure out how to add links to images like the way Lily does in her LJ. ^_^

(shhh... I'll figure it out.) XD
